Information that you communicate to us:

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, phone number (landline and/or mobile) and date of birth.

If you book a Yacht Book Agency course the personal information collected is extended to further personal details, such as: gender, place of birth, nationality, professional qualifications, next of kin contact details, passport number and/or Seaman’s Discharge Book. The details we collect may include the name of the vessel that employs you. For students attending a course that has a practical component will be required to complete a Health Disclaimer that we will keep in your personal record.

If you are aged 16 or under please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide us with personal information.

Information that we collect from you (Cookies)

We use your data to carry out our obligations arising to process booking made by you for short training courses, issue of certificates at the end of your course and maintain internal records of the courses you have attended.

Your information will only be accessed and processed by authorized Yacht Book Agency personnel who are directly involved in the management and administration of the data management systems and who have a legitimate need to access your information.

We may pass your information to our third party service providers, subcontractors and other associated organizations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. Please be advised that we will not release your information to third parties for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have authorized us to do so.

Government authorities or administrations

Yacht Book Agency will share your personal data when submitting an application for a written engineering or deck examination with the SQA and IAMI.

• We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting.
